In addition to serpents, Set is also a god of chaos, storms, disease and evil.
I think part of the lore depicts the Camarilla once tried to convince the Followers of Set to abandon Serpentis, and the Setites did NOT appreciate it. The fact that there are side cults to begin with proves they aren't united, but the major Setite faction would be opposed that's why i suggested going with one of the side cults, instead. The idea they're as united as the Tremere seems silly from the standpoint of game development and a block to good storytelling opportunities. Doubly so since I don't see why the Setites would be against the Camarilla given it's status as one of the most corrupt societies in vampiredom. It's also seemingly a very boring option. I think that if the Setites are one united religion with no dissension, infighting, or alternate beliefs then they are not only going against vampire nature but religion as well.
